Dick's Sporting Goods has a new delivery partner.

A leading sporting goods retailer has landed on a new third-party delivery platform.

Over 800 Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy locations across the United States will now be available on Uber Eats beginning this week, allowing customers to have sporting goods, athletic apparel, footwear, team sports gear, golf equipment and more delivered, either on-demand or scheduled for a certain time.

“We believe that speed and convenience is key to our omni-channel experience, and we’re excited to launch our partnership with Uber Eats as an extension of that philosophy,” said Scott Casciato, VP of omnichannel fulfillment and strategy at Dick’s Sporting Goods. “When those moments arise where new gear is needed, this partnership with Uber Eats extends our capabilities to give our athletes convenient shopping to get the products they need fast and in a way that is convenient for them."

Dick's Sporting Goods has also been providing third-party online delivery since December 2020 in partnership with Instacart.

With Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy joining the platform, Uber Eats says the additions further strengthen its position as a “go-to destination” for more than just meals.  To celebrate the launch, new and existing Uber Eats users can take advantage of up to 30% off of select athletic essentials, sport accessories and outdoor gear. As always, Uber One members enjoy added perks, including $0 delivery fees on eligible orders.

Affirm

In addition to landing on Uber Eats, Dick’s Sporting Goods also announced an extension of its partnership with payment network Affirm, which began in 2020. Eligible Dick’s and Golf Galaxy shoppers can now choose Affirm’s flexible, transparent payment plans when checking out directly on Dicks.com or GolfGalaxy.com.

After selecting Affirm at checkout, approved consumers can split purchases into biweekly or monthly payments up to 36 months, for as low as 0% APR. Every time a consumer chooses Affirm, they go through a quick eligibility check. If approved, they will see personalized payment plans with no late or hidden fees.

Dick’s is one of nearly 360,000 retailers who partner with Affirm. In 2021, Dick's partnered with buy now, pay later platform Afterpay to give customers the opportunity to have flexible payment options when shopping, both in-store and online.

“Providing our athletes with a seamless shopping experience and flexible payment options is extremely important to our team,” said Josh Conklin, senior director, treasurer at Dick’s Sporting Goods. “With the success of the partnership to date, integrating Affirm directly into our online checkout process was a natural next step. We’re excited to continue giving our athletes control, clarity, and convenience in how they pay, so they’re ready for every season.”

Dick’s Sporting Goods’ partnerships comes after it recently reported its fifth-straight quarter of same-store sales growth over 4%. In its first quarter, the company opened two new Dick's House of Sport locations and four new Dick’s Field House locations. Dick’s is on track to open approximately 16 House of Sport and six Fieldhouse locations in 2025.

Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Pittsburgh, Dick’s Sporting Goods operates more than 850 Dick’s Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Public Lands and Going Going Gone! Stores nationwide.
